How to Conceive a Son – Is Artificial Insemination the Right Choice for You?
Don’t we all wish we could choose the gender of our next child? I know there are a lot of parents, and parents to be, who defiantly wish they could. Some are even learning how to Conceive a son through artificial insemination. Is it the best way for you? Read more and find out for yourself.
One of the most common forms of Artificial Insemination is the process where the sperm is artificially placed inside the woman so that it may fertilize her egg.
Now, just so you know, artificial insemination is most commonly used with couples with fertility problems. As well as when there is no natural male donor, and the woman wants to have a child.
Now, with the massive leaps in gentic research, there is a way for people to almost choose their future childs gender. It is not 100% but it does give a more than 4-1 chances for male, and 3-1 chances for female. However, they will never guarantee a true gender selection, as this is next to impossible even for science right now.
The main risk of getting pregnant in this fashion is mostly financial, as the average cost is on around $10,000 or more, and with no real guarantee the woman will conceive at all.
The main chances of conception are actually around 10 – 15% per menstrual cycle, and can take between 6 – 8 cycles before conception even occurs, if it accrues at all.
This is going to mean 6 – 8 trips to the doctors, and not just the one who will do the procedure, we are talking ultra sounds, fertility clinics.
Then, lets talk about the very strict schedule you will be on to gain optimum conception time. This can be some crazy stuff here.
Sure, if you and your partner got tested, and found out one of your had a low fertility rate, then maybe use this method.
There are much simpler and more fun ways to try and Conceive a son. Like doing it the old fashion way for starters. This has seem to have worked for years, I don’t see why we should all stop now, right?
Basically what the clinics do, you can actually do at home. And no, I do not mean artificially inseminating. I mean learning ovulation schedules, since this is basically what they are doing anyways. Learning the prime time to allow for the boy sperm to get to the egg and fertilize it.
Even if they could alter the odds of a son, they are really not much better than if you were trying it yourself. It was all meant to be done naturally anyways, why not enjoy it while you can?
As you can very well see, artificial insemination is not really for everyone, its expensive, and it takes a lot of visits to various clinics, and doctors, and honestly, doesn’t really sound like all that much fun anyways. But you decide, you are the one who wants the son, you should decide how you Conceive a son. I think you will make the best decision of all.
